The Service exists to help businesses understand and grow their financial performance, and we handle the data entrusted to us with that purpose in mind: we use it to deliver value to you, we access it on a read-only basis, and we do not sell it.
Our Role
When you connect financial platforms or upload reports, you determine what information the Service can access and how it is used, and Awarely processes that information on your behalf to provide the Service. For information about your account and your use of the Service, Awarely determines how that information is used, as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address, business name, and login credentials.
- Business data: information from the financial platforms you connect and the reports you upload, such as transactions, customer records, products, fees, refunds, and disputes.
- Interactions with the Service: the questions and requests you submit to receive tailored insights and recommendations.
- Usage information: device and browser details, IP address, and information about how you use the Service.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- deliver the Service, including unifying your data, analyzing performance, and generating insights and recommendations tailored to your business;
- maintain the security and integrity of the Service and prevent misuse;
- provide support and communicate with you about your account and material changes; and
- understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
Awarely does not sell your data or your customers' data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Read-Only Access
The Service only reads data from the platforms you connect. Awarely never initiates transactions or edits, writes, or modifies information in your connected systems.
AI-Powered Insights
The Service uses artificial intelligence models provided by Anthropic to deliver deeper analysis and tailored recommendations. When you request an analysis, relevant business data from your account is shared with Anthropic for that purpose. We remove sensitive details, such as contact information and credentials, before data is shared; other information, including customer names and business details, may still be included. AI processing is limited to your own account's data.
How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations:
- Replit: application hosting
- Google Cloud: backend infrastructure
- Anthropic: AI models
- Stripe: payment processing
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Awarely or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you in advance.
How We Protect Information
We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encryption of data in transit and at rest and logical separation of each customer's data. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately. We will notify affected customers of any security incident as required by law.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the Service. When you delete a report or other data, it is removed from the Service immediately and is no longer accessible to us, and it is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. When you close your account, your account data is deleted in the same manner. We may retain limited records, such as billing information, where required by law.
Your Choices and Rights
You may disconnect data sources, delete reports, export your customer data, or close your account at any time. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on where you are located, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will respond to valid requests in accordance with those laws. If we receive a request from one of your customers about their information, we will refer it to you.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies to keep you signed in and analytics tools to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or within the Service before they take effect.
